Untold | Unheard | Vulnerable | Refugees

Art exhibition opening May 19th 2018

This art exhibition showcases selected artwork of twelve international artists who are members of the Assyrian and Yazidi communities, minority groups who are faced with extinction and forced migration. Their artwork visualises the suffering of these minority groups, their fear of extinction, and their hopes for the future.

The documentary POMEGRANATE: Voices of Sinjar is also shown as part of this exhibition.This film is an eyewitness account by three Yazidi women about their experience during the genocide of Yazidis at the hands of ISIS.

This art exhibition is part of the research project “Gilgamesh: Untold Experiences of Vulnerable Groups” co-financed by the Swedish Riksbankens Jubileumsfond.
